Abbad and Al-Madani inaugurate the “The Best What Our Hands Have Produced” exhibition for productive families in Al-Sabeen District

The Mayor of the Capital and First Undersecretary of the Capital Municipality, Khaled Al-Madani, opened the “The Best What Our Hands Have Produced” exhibition to support productive families in Al-Sabeen District in its first season.

The Mayor of the Capital and First Undersecretary of the Capital Municipality, Khaled Al-Madani, opened the “The Best What Our Hands Have Produced” exhibition to support productive families in Al-Sabeen District in its first season.


The exhibition, which is being held by the Al-Sabeen Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society during the period from 18-29 Ramadan, includes the participation of 100 families producing food and consumer products, clothing, handicrafts, and natural oils, with funding from the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Unit of the Secretariat and the General Authority for Small and Micro Enterprise Development.


Abbad and Al-Madani, along with the Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee - Deputy Head of the Development Team, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, the Head of Planning and Finance, Sharaf Al-Hadi, the Undersecretary of the Secretariat for Agricultural Affairs, Muhammad Saree, the two assistants, Dr. Abdul-Wahab Sharaf and Ismail Al-Jarmouzi, the directors of the Social Affairs and Labor Offices, Nasser Al-Kahli, and Economy Majid Al-Sada, his deputy, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sufyani, the Directorate, Muhammad Al-Washli, and the Secretary of Al-Sabeen Locality, Muhammad Al-Sadiq, toured the exhibition pavilions.


The Mayor of the Capital and the First Undersecretary of the Municipality listened to an explanation from the Executive Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the Municipality, Abdullah Sharaf El-Din, and his deputy, Samir Hamza, about the interventions made by the unit in financing the establishment of exhibitions to market the products of productive families in the various directorates of the Municipality of the Capital.


They stressed that financing these exhibitions comes within the framework of supporting productive families, creating direct marketing windows for their products and improving them, implementing development initiatives and encouraging local production towards achieving self-sufficiency in various fields.


They pointed out that the implemented programs are complementary programs with the Small and Micro Enterprise Authority, which works to provide loans to families and assist them in planning, marketing, rehabilitation and training, with the aim of creating real development among society and supporting and encouraging local products.


During the opening, Abbad and Al-Madani, who oppose the productive families, considered it a practical step that embodies the determination and popular will to confront the repercussions of the economic blockade imposed by the aggression coalition on the Yemeni people.


They affirmed their readiness to provide special spaces in the capital secretariat as permanent markets for productive families to display, market and sell their products in a way that enables them to grow, develop and promote them more widely, and implement economic empowerment and local development projects.


They explained that the opening of this exhibition and other productive families exhibitions in the districts of the capital secretariat is a true translation towards self-sufficiency in local production and national industries with high quality that competes with foreign products.


The Mayor of the Capital and the First Undersecretary of the Municipality praised the efforts of those in charge of the exhibition in Al-Sabeen District and the high-quality local products it contained, as well as the interaction of the participating productive families.


For his part, the Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee - Deputy Head of the Development Team, Al-Naqib, explained that the exhibition comes within the framework of supporting the economic empowerment of productive families and strengthening institutional partnership in implementing initiatives that have a developmental and economic impact in the capital secretariat.


He noted the role of the Finance Unit and the Al-Sabeen Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society in organizing the exhibition, which includes local products of various types - food, consumer, clothing, and craft and handmade supplies.


In turn, the Director of Al-Sabeen Al-Washli District confirmed that holding this exhibition to market the products of productive families is a first step, which will be followed by other projects, to create permanent job opportunities for these families and in a way that contributes to forming a contributing tributary to development work in cooperation with the official side.


He explained that a comprehensive three-year interim plan is currently being prepared within the framework of programs associated with field teams to mobilize society and field survey teams to mobilize productive families and find points of sale and permanent markets to market their products through the Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society in the Al-Sabeen District and Fursan Development.


While the head of the Al-Sabeen Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, Abdullah Ibrahim, explained that the exhibition includes food products, sweets, handicrafts, leather goods, clothing, cosmetics, hygiene supplies, and household tools.


He stressed the importance of the exhibition in supporting the economic empowerment of productive families and providing the needs of citizens at discounted and competitive prices. He appreciated the interest and support of the leadership of the Capital Municipality, the local authority in the district, the Finance Unit, and the Small and Micro Enterprise Development Authority, to hold and make the exhibition a success.


The opening was attended by local, executive, mobilization and development leaders, sheikhs, elders and social figures.
