Today, the local authority in Sanaa, in cooperation with the Bonyan Development Foundation, concluded the activities of the training course in the areas of basics of volunteer work, development and development resources, community initiatives, and urban development, within the volunteer support programme, under the patronage of the mayor of the capital, Sana’a, and head of the local council, Dr. Hamoud Muhammad Abbad.

Today, the local authority in Sanaa, in cooperation with the Bonyan Development Foundation, concluded the activities of the training course in the areas of basics of volunteer work, development and development resources, community initiatives, and urban development, within the volunteer support programme, under the patronage of the mayor of the capital, Sana’a, and head of the local council, Dr. Hamoud Muhammad Abbad.
The course was implemented with funding from the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the capital secretariat, and in cooperation with the Women’s Authority, Al-Qardai School, and Al-Israa School, and targeted 56 trainees from the Ma’in and Al-Wahda districts in the capital secretariat.
The course was implemented through the Bonyan Academy for Training and Qualification during the period from Dhu al-Hijjah 26, 1447 AH to Muharram 14, 1448 AH, with the aim of enhancing the participants’ capabilities and developing their skills in the fields of volunteer work, community initiatives, and sustainable development, thus contributing to raising the level of community participation and enhancing the role of women in community service and local development.
Those in charge of the program stressed the importance of qualifying women’s cadres and empowering them with the tools of volunteer and community work, which will reflect positively on the implementation of development initiatives and the promotion of a culture of giving and social responsibility.
At the conclusion of the session, it was emphasized to continue implementing specific training programs targeting youth and women, in a way that contributes to building effective community capabilities capable of contributing to development and community service.
